“Raging Waters” (Episode 2) continues the story of Ben, Helena and the orphans they are taking care of. The star of this episode is Zakkai, the courageous impetuous young Zealot who offers to take a written story across the city via the aqueducts to a group of underground Christians in another sector of Rome. Zakkai falls into the hands of Nero’s men who bring him before the Emperor only for Ben and his friends to arrive and rescue Zak (and the story) before Nero’s eyes. The stories of the Baptism of Jesus, the stilling of the storm and the cure of the madman in the hills are told.
“The Story Keepers” are a super exciting series, telling the story of a Ben, a Christian leader, his wife Helena and his family’s adventures living in Ancient Rome His mission is to keep Jesus’s stories alive during the 1st century. Ben knew Jesus, as the boy in the Bible who shared his lunch with Jesus of 5 loaves of bread and 2 small fish. Jesus turned this boy’s lunch into enough food to feed 5,000 men, and many thousands more woman and children. There were even 12 large baskets of leftover bread and fish.
Ben is now an adult baker of bread and pastries, who tells others about Jesus in the city of Rome. Evil Emperor Nero, wants to kill all Christians in Rome, including Ben and his friends. These animated stories are very entertaining and well done.
Hilda’s Mom, Elaine, Daniel, Hilda and I really like these shows. They give us an impression of what life for early Christians was like – exciting, dangerous, and people loving Jesus in spite of great persecution.
Suitable for ages 5 and up. Enjoy!
